Walk Description

From the Eltham Environs Walking Group, walk 2E

Commences in Warringal Park next to the toilets. Park in the adjacent car park on the east side of Beverley Rd, next to the toilet block. Take the walking path to the SW corner of the park (ie, head towards the Heidelberg shops), and turn left along a walking track. Continue past ‘The Greenery’ plant nursery. Take the first turn down under bridge and walk to Banksia Street. Turn right, and cross the bridge. Take the first path right after crossing the bridge. Walk down to the river and turn right .

Enter Banksia Park as you walk under the bridge and turn left. Follow the path keeping to the left until arriving at the toilets. Continue in the same direction along the road for a short distance. Cross a section of grass on the path and turn left. Walk around the dog playground and walk to the cottage garden. After admiring it, leave by the opposite gate and return to the path and turn left. Keep Heide on the left. Continue along the path. After crossing the road, follow the path to the bridge (the toilets will be on your right). Leave Banksia Park. Return to the cars, using the same route in reverse direction.
