Walk Description

From the Eltham Environs Walking Group, walk 5E

Commences at the first car park on the right-hand side of the road located off Bulleen Rd (100m+ past the Veneto Club, if coming from Eltham). The entry point is alongside the Cary Grammar School playing grounds.

The walk begins by leaving the car park at the No Exit sign. Turn right. Turn left at the Archery Club sign. Enter and exit a car park and continue toward the river. Turn right at path T-junction, with archery field on the right. Turn left at next division of the path. Keep on left-hand pathway. A children’s playground will be on the right. A river observation point will be on the left (concrete path, with pump at end). Turn left at gravel path, then turn left again at sculpture.

Go past tennis courts and soccer ground on the right. The river will be on the left. Turn right to Bolin Bolin Lagoon (a sign is set in the concrete path). This is a loop walk. Turn right when back on the path at the concrete sign. After arriving at Banksia Park, retrace steps to cars.

Note that sections of this walk are subject to inundation after heavy rain, and are impassable.
