Black Flat to Jumping Creek and beyond, Warrandyte State Park

Walk Description

From the Eltham Environs Walking Group, walk 27M

Commences at the car park near the end of Tills Drive. From the car park enter the vehicle track through the barrier gate, and follow the track about 50m to a sign ‘Circuit Track’. Take the right fork along the vehicle track for about 700m. Turn sharp left down a walking track towards the river. At the Circuit Track sign, turn right, and continue along the river bank to Jumping Creek Reserve BBQ and toilet area.

At this juncture, there is the option of doing the Nature Walk circuit. Follow the Blue Tongue Bend Track, then veer right at the Number 5 marker. Follow the orange markers and trail markers numbered 1 to 11. At number 11, turn left along a vehicle track to return to Jumping Creek Reserve car park.

To return to the cars, initially retrace your steps to Black Flat, but continue along the river bank at the Circuit Track sign. At Old Mullens Orchard picnic area, turn left, and continue along the vehicle track away from the river. This returns to the car park. Note that tracks can be slippery in wet conditions.
