Walk Description

From the Eltham Environs Walking Group, walk 17M

Commences near the corner of Kalparrin Ave and Yando St. Cross the bridge adjacent to the car park.

Ignore the path on the right, which traverses Partingtons Flat. Instead, keep left on one of two tracks close to the Plenty River. These tracks converge, heading due north. Walk under the Greensborough Bypass, across Booyan Cr at the roundabout, with a bridge on your left, and in less than 100 metres join the path on the left.

Follow the path close to the river, and walk in a northerly direction. Pass the Maroondah Pipeline which cross Plenty River on the left. After 500m, the track veers right, while the river meanders off to the left. Continue on the gravel track, which undulates and eventually rises slightly, then turns left.

The track broadens, with houses on the left and right. Proceed as far as the children’s playground. The return walk is simply the reverse on the walk to this point.
