The Great Victorian Bike Ride 1987, Stawell to Melbourne. A ride organised by Bicycle Victoria in the late 80’s.

A wonderful experience as you get to absorb the scenery at a slower speed compared to scooting along in a car. The trip starts with departing Spencer Street (now Southern Cross) station and boarding the train along with your bike to Stawell. There are trucks to cart your tent. Breakfast and dinner are provided. And there’s a sag bus if you run out of energy.
