Walking the trail from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair. The 60km walk from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair is a must-do for any bush walker (as I discovered after doing it!).
I went with Laurie Glover (now deceased) who was much fitter and more experienced at bush walking than I was. The walk is moderate to difficult and once you pass Cradle Mountain the going is a lot easier; apart from the deep mud that is.
At Lake St Claire I caught a ferry to the bus pick up point for the cross Tasman ferry, but the much fitter Laurie walked the extra 15km to the southern end of Lake St Clair.
