Walk Description

From the Eltham Environs Walking Group, walk 39M

Commences at corner of Valley and Moonlight Rds. Walk north along Valley Rd (the level stretch of road; not the steeply uphill section). At a T intersection, Silvan Rd comes in from the left.

Continue straight ahead along what is now Silvan Rd. At the top of the hill, turn left into Flat Rock Rd. After 300m, turn right into Hoebergin La (first 50m very steep), then left into Schaeffer Rd (not sign-posted), then left once more into Flat Rock Rd.

After 200m, turn right into Heather Ave, walking 800m initially down, then up to the top of a hill and a T intersection. Dewar Rd is on the right, and Heather Ave continues on the left. Turn left. Heather Ave eventually becomes Bailey Gully Rd. At its end, turn left into Silvan Rd, and finally right into Valley Rd. to return to the cars.
